Hazel Ferettino Muncy

Hazel Ferettino Muncy, 88, of Cleveland, TN passed away on August 14, 2021. She was born on July 27, 1933 to Pete and Laura Ferettino. Hazel enjoyed gardening and had a tremendous green thumb. She was proud of her Italian heritage and was a devoted Christian woman. She was a hard worker, devoted wife, and mother. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband James O. Muncy Sr., son James O. Muncy Jr., sibling: Ann Thompson and Mickey Ferettino.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Becky Muncy, Cookie Ledford, and Tina Mickel; sister Bunny Nunes (Frank); grandchildren: Chris Ledford, Matt Smith (Christy), Jason Ledford (Amy), Whitney Payne (Jeremy), and Sommer Mickel (Kendra); great grandchildren: Kylie Pettis, Hayden Ledford, Tyson Pettis, Logan Smith, Abagail Harrison, Michael Harrison, Destiny Harrison, Noah Ledford, Camill Ledford, and Collier James Mickel. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Hazel’s family will receive friends from 1pm to 3pm on Friday August 20th at Companion Funeral Home with a celebration of life to follow at 3pm. She will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens following the service.
