Harvey Price

Harvey Price, 90, of Cleveland, TN passed away on April 18, 2017. He was born on December 3, 1926 to the late Charles and Clara Price. Harvey was a lifelong resident of this area and was born in Rhea County, TN. He was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church, where he was an inactive deacon. Harvey also helped charter Victory Baptist Church in Rhea County. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry and woodworking. He was also an avid gardener and talented locksmith.

In addition to his mother and father, Harvey was preceded in death by his wife Vivian Price; sister Frankie Hatton; grandson Gary Ritchie and step granddaughter Christy Heard.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory one son David Price (Christine), one daughter Linda Ritchie (Tommy), and brother Carl Dallas Price; grandchildren: Randy Ritchie, Jonathan Ritchie, Lorie Price, Amica Price, Jeremy Price, and Elizabeth Price. In addition to these, Harvey leaves behind eighteen great grandchildren and several extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 5:00pm on Thursday April 20, 2017 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 and from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Shenandoah Baptist on Friday April 21, 2017. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday April 21, 2017 at Shenandoah Baptist Church located at 138 Osment Road SE, Cleveland, TN 37323. Interment will follow the service at Montgomery Cemetery in Rhea County, TN with Randy Ritchie, Jonathan Ritchie, and Jeremy Price serving as pallbearers.
