Harold P. Ervin, 49 of 1614 Wendy Circle, Soddy Daisy, TN passed away suddenly on February 27, 2020. He was born August 25, 1970 in Athens, GA. Harold lived in Danielsville, GA and Chattanooga, TN area for his entire life and graduated with honors from Madison County High School, Danielsville, GA. Also attended the University of Georgia for a time and received his registered nurse certification from Chattanooga State Technical College. Harold was a registered nurse and worked in the Chattanooga area health field for many years. His last position was a Clinical Advisor with Humana. Harold was a kicker for the 2009 Semi Pro Football Champion Team, the Chattanooga Steam and he enjoyed gaming. More recently Harold served as Umpire for many organizations in the Chattanooga area. Survived by his mother, Dora Ervin of Danielsville, GA and long-time best friend, Andy Day and family. He was a father figure for Dakota Dodson and had family in Georgia including aunts Kathy Chastain and Helen (Garey) Manley and multiple cousins. Harold’s much-loved dogs, Woogie and DeeDee traveled everywhere with him and he had a close relationship with neighbors. He is preceded in death by his father Jimmy Ervin and grandparents, Paul & Dorothy Ervin of Chattanooga, TN, Katherine Beard and Joe Edins, both of Danielsville, GA. Harold attended church at Grace UMC and helped with the youth programs. The Memorial Service to celebrate Harold’s life will be postponed until further notice. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, Soddy Daisy, TN. Please keep Harold’s mother, Dora Ervin and other family and close friends in your thoughts and prayers.
