Harold "Freddy" Catlett, Jr.

Harold “Freddy” Catlett, 58, died February 26, 2020, in a local hospital. He was born August 22, 1961 at Bradley Memorial Hospital. He was retired from the heating and air/plumbing business. He finished school early to go to work alongside his dad “CAT” at Chase Appliance. He also had worked at Duracell. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was an avid reader, sports fan and fisherman. Growing up on Howell Street, you could always find him and his dog, Bear, with his friends playing baseball, basketball and football. His favorite sport was baseball, and as a child, he had collected over 1,000 baseball cards. He loved to watch the Braves with his mom and NASCAR with his dad. He was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his young son, Jeremiah Dane Catlett; parents, Harold and Irene Catlett; grandparents, Cecil and Lorella Catlett and Raymond and Stella Baldwin; and best friend and brother, Tim Smith.

Survivors include his daughter, Kala Catlett Efaw; sister, Janice Catlett McBryar; grandchildren, Thomas and Karly Kelly; niece, Kristie Green; nephew, Chuck Johnson; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

At his request, there will not be any services.
