George Russell Allen

George Russell Allen, 98, of Cleveland, TN passed away on January 20, 2021. He was born on April 10, 1922 in Portland, ME. He was the son of Robert and Margaret Allen. He grew up in Portland and the family later moved to Lowell, Mass. Allen was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Kenneth, and Bill Allen; sister Ruth McEvoy; and his former wife, Mary Allen.
Survivors include his daughter Janet Allen of Cleveland; several nephews, a niece, and close friend Mary Baier, of Cleveland.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday February 3, 2021 at St. Therese of Lisieux Cleveland, TN with Fr. Mike Nolen officiating. A military interment will take place on May 24, 2021 at 11:00am at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the SEVTHC for the Bradley County Veterans Home being built. Send donation in memory of George Allen to Margaret Trimble 2345 Timber Trace Circle NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
