He is preceded in death by his mom and dad, Saunderson, and Mildred; his brothers, John and Saunderson; and his sister, Mildred Dunlop (Storey).

Storey; grandchildren, Camden Dunlop, Kyle Storey, Jacob Storey, Colby Dunlop, Madelynne M. Dunlop, Deanna Dunlop, Lilianna Dunlop, Elizabeth Dunlop, Kelly Dunlop Schimidt, and Madelynne Jawor Dunlop.
Fredrick “Freddy” Saunderson Dunlop was raised in the quaint town of Tilton, New Hampshire. He graduated from Plymouth State College with a Bachelor’s degree in education. Freddy’s first passion was to teach and later he received a Master’s degree in Educational Administration. He spent the next 43 years as an eduacator; beginning as a teacher, then culminating his career as a principal. Freddy strived to positively impact everyone he encountered, and made every moment a learning experience for all.
Freddy was an amazingly creative person, there was no challenge he would not take on-as he always said, “never pay someone for something you can do yourself.” As a younger man, his wife Nancy, bought him blueprints for a boat. With his sons, Freddy spent over seven years and hundreds of hours to build this 22-foot fiberglass fishing boat. The project started in the garage and ended in the backyard.
This ship-build sparked Freddy’s love for boating, and led him to build and/or restore several other vessels during his lifetime. He passed his love and passion for boating to all his children and grandchildren.
He was an exceptional person, husband of 52 years to Nancy, father, and grandfather. He loved his family, became frineds with everyone he met, and was the go-to person whenever anyone needed help. Freddy was well loved, and will be missed by many.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Cancer Research.
You are invited to share a personal memory of Freddy or your condolences with his family at his online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland and the Cody family are honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
