Fred proudly served the Houston Fire Department for 24 years and truly enjoyed his job. He also had worked in construction for many years owning his own company building metal buildings. Fred truly had a servant’s heart and it showed in his life as a fire fighter. When he moved to Bradley County and met Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, his servant’s heart took on an all-new meaning. Fred volunteered his time and energy to anyone that needed his help. He spent most of his time helping whoever needed his service, and would refuse to allow them to pay for his services. Almost every summer he spent helping Ocoee Outreach which held a special place in his heart. He made numerous trips to Mississippi with men and women from Westwood to help those who had been affected by Hurricane Katrina. Fred also enjoyed playing golf. Some of his best memories were playing with his friends from the fire department and also the men of Westwood on their Mac Arnold golf trips and in the Emmaus Golf Tournament.

The family would like to thank Dr. Tran and the staff of Tennessee Oncology Cleveland and Dr. Virostek and the staff of Cleveland Regional Cancer Center for their compassionate, loving care over the last 4 years.
