Franklin "Jeff" Sims

Franklin “Jeff” Sims, 57, a resident of Cleveland, went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2021 after a two and a half year battle with stage 4 lung cancer. He was born July 17, 1963 to Frank Sims and Mary Sims Hope. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Sims Hope, stepfather James Hope, stepmother Stella Sims, stepbrother Dale Hayes, brother in law David Goins, father in law Albert Leamon.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted wife of eighteen and a half years Deborah Leamon Sims, one son Davis Sims; three sisters Barbara Blackwell and husband Terry, Darlene Padgett and husband Kenny of Nashville, and Frenda Sims of Decatur; stepmother Bert Hayes Sims, stepbrothers Doug, Darrel, Mike, and Ray Hayes; four nephews Stacy, David, Josh, and Shane; two stepdaughters Daphne and Chrsity Baker, three grandsons Tate McDermott, D.J. Wendling, and Nick Baker; three great grandsons Taylor and Taygen McDermott and Connor Wendling; mother in law Margaret Leamon, sister in law Carolyn Goins; four brothers in law and wives: Ed and Terri, Randall and Edna, Mike and Kathy, and Doug and Deeaun Leamon. He also leaves behind many other nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Jeff’s church family is Solid Rock Baptist in Calhoun, TN. A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday March 11, 2021 at Companion Funeral Home Cleveland Chapel with Pastor Scott Martin officiating. He will be laid to rest following the service at Tasso United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 1:00pm prior the service at the funeral home on Thursday. The family requests that masks are worn and social distancing is practiced during the visitation and service.
