Frances Hamilton Pierce

Frances Hamilton Pierce of Cleveland, TN peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 8, 2022, following a lengthy illness. Frances always had a smile for everyone, never met a stranger, and was well recognized for her colorful dress, her love of jewelry, and her huge personality. Frances was also a well-recognized, long time employee of the Bradley County Register of Deeds and was an avid supporter of her beloved town.

Frances was born to C. L. (Shan) and Florence Maddux Hamilton on April 18, 1934. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Michael C. Pierce; grandson, Ross Anderson; four brothers, Jackie Hamilton, Loye Hamilton, Carl Hamilton, and William “Bill” Hamilton; and many precious aunts and uncles.

Left behind to cherish her memory, whom she loved dearly, are daughter, Teresa (Bill) Anderson and son, Michael Pierce, along with grandchildren Amber (John) Dye, Audra (Daniel) Benson, Ali (Arthel) Clark, and Courtney (Brant) Donlon. Her great-grandchildren include Adriana and Eli Benson; Arlie, Waylon, and Jesaiah Clark; and Laker Donlon. Also left to cherish her memory are sisters Joye Goodner and Juanita Eldridge along with sisters-in- law Sharon Hamilton, Ann Hamilton, and Debra Hamilton.

The family will receive friends on Thursday April 14, 2022 at Companion Funeral Home from 5pm to 7pm with a celebration of life service to follow at 7pm. She will be laid to rest at 10am on Friday morning the 15th at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
