Floyd Eugene "Gene" Carroll

Floyd Eugene (Gene) Carroll of Harriman passed away on May 10, 2015. He was a member of South Harriman Baptist Church. Gene was a Shriner clown for many years in Louisville, KY, where he lived until retirement. He was born in Rockwood, TN, on December 29, 1921. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He served at Pearl Harbor and on a destroyer in the South Pacific.

He was preceded in death by wives Wanda and Lois, sisters Pauline Abston, Mary Snow, Violet Brinkley and brother, Foster Allen Carroll.

He is survived by nephew Bob Abston, great nephew Tommy Scarborough of Rockwood, special friends Mike and Lee Renfro, Tweed and Ramona Carpenter, Barbara Bridges of Harriman and Pat, Andrew and Patrick Lynn of Tampa, Florida.
