Floyd "Bud" Thomas Ramsey

Floyd “Bud” Thomas Ramsey, 73, a longtime resident of Georgetown, TN passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at a local healthcare facility. Bud worked all his life and excelled as a carpenter and spent 60+ years coon hunting. Bud was also a well-known breeder of Plot Hounds. He was a loving and tender hearted man who loved his family and friends greatly. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore “Ebb” Ramsey and Bessie Hood; sisters, Ida Walker and Inez Steele; brother, Johnny Ramsey.
Bud leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 41 years, Katherine Ramsey; children, Troy Nation, Jeffery Nation, and “Gidget” Regina Morgan; grandchildren, Piper Morgan, Marcus Nation, Courtney Nation, Austin Prentice, and Jared Crisp; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Betty Stamey, Doyle Ramsey, and Bill Ramsey; as well as many other nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 2-4pm at Eastview Chapel: 1351 Eastview Rd, Georgetown, TN 37336 with a celebration of life service at 4pm. Interment will be at Shiloh Cemetery in Decatur following the service. Kathleen Yancey will be officiating the service.
