Everett Nelson Davis, Sr.

November 21, 1936 — June 17, 2020

Everett Nelson Davis, Sr., 83 of Cleveland, peacefully left this world the morning of 17 June 2020 at his residence surrounded by family.
Everett was a faithful man, he served his Lord diligently for over 35 years after being saved. When he prayed, he believed, and others believed.
Pops, as his family called him, never met a stranger. He loved bigger and stronger than anything in the world and was always there for them. His great-granddaughters always brought a smile to his face and he was loved by many in the community.
He relocated to the Cleveland, TN area from Westbrook, ME, where he spent most of his life to be with his son and grandsons. He worked with the Forest Service for several years in Chatsworth, GA, which guided him into becoming a seasonal campground host at Lake Conasauga.
Everett was a peaceful soul and comforted all those around him, he cared greatly for his fellow man and his country. He served in the National Guard in Maine as a young man and was always grateful to those who served their country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Jesse Davis of Westbrook, Maine; his brothers, Arthur, Robert and Merle.
He is survived by his brother, George and his wife, Peggy; his son, Everett Davis, Jr., whom he was dearly proud of, little Ev’s wife, Lucinda; and his grandchildren: Everett A. Davis, his wife, Kali, Trey, Ross, Isiah, Aaron, and Ayla; as well as his great-grandchildren, the joy of his life: Daisee, Blossie and Josie.
Although he is gone in body his soul lives on and the family takes comfort knowing he is at peace with the Lord. Everett’s favorite Psalm, 91, has brought comfort during these trying times, the family is honored to have had the privilege to be there for – and care for him during his last days.
There will be a small family service at the residence. Pops was a humble man, and he will be honored how he wished with his family.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that you do something kind for a stranger. God bless you and this Country.
