Eve Vaught

EVE VAUGHT - CHATTANOOGA, TN - Former Bennettsville resident Eve Carol McCray Vaught, 66, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2017.

She was born in New York, NY, on December 12, 1950, to the late Louis and Ruth Chapman. After living in Connecticut, South Carolina and Georgia, she settled in Tennessee.

Eve loved the Lord, her family and friends and believed all things were possible with God and that He was in control. She felt blessed to have met so many beautiful people during her lifetime. She touched lives in a beautiful way and all who knew her felt truly blessed to have been a part of her life. She will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Chapman; father, Louis Chapman and his wife, Gertrude; and brothers, Carl and Warren.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving and beautiful daughters, Marie Smithwick of Henderson, NC, and Bianaka Green of Bennettsville; loving grandchildren, Dasha Kearney of Henderson and Markel Brown of Raleigh, NC; loving sisters, Bonita McCoy of Hartford, CT, and Sandra Chapman-Carlton of Ken-nesaw, GA; loving aunt, Eartha Lee Manley of Islip, NY; devoted cousin, Mike Towels of New Haven, CT; loving and devoted friend, George Terrell Jr. of Atlanta, GA; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
