Ethel Minerva Young

Ethel Minerva Young, 84, of Cleveland, TN passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday July 6, 2017. She loved reading, cross stitching, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Elsie Stephenson; husband, James Paul Young; brother, Drury Stephenson; sisters, Marie Epperly, Easter Edgerton, Beulah Pitts, Sarah Epperson; and grandson, Geoffrey Paul Frye.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Darrell Young, Jana Young, Lisa (Mark) Harris, “adopted” daughter and dear friend Regina (David) McDowell; grandchildren: Richard Johnson, Nicole (Glen) Mullinax, David (Shayna) Harris, Rachel Harris; great-grandchildren: Dakota Bailey, Erik Mullinax, Oliver Johnson; brother, Buddy (Norma) Stephenson; sister, Lucille Patterson; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Sunday July 9, 2017 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will be held at 9:30am on Monday July 10, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
