Eric Shorty Ricks

Eric Shorty Ricks “Big E”, 43, of Cleveland, TN passed away on December 26, 2021. He was born on April 1, 1978 in New Orleans, LA. “Big E,” as he was known to many, was a gifted musician and loved music. He had a infectious personality and was loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed helping people and volunteering with the Bradley County Sheriff.

He is preceded in death by his mother Darlene Ricks; sister Darlene Ann Ricks; stepdad James Webber; grandmother Alberta Ricks and son Jeremiah Ricks.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Laura Ricks; daughter Cecilya Rimer; siblings: Valean Ricks, Danny Ricks, Cynthia Radandt, J.R. Ricks, Stanley Ricks, and Stephanie Mezynski.

A graveside service for Big E will be held at 3:30pm on Saturday January 8th at Lee Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 1-3pm prior to these service at Companion Funeral Home.
