Emmett Gerald Conn

Emmett Gerald Conn, 71, of Graysville, TN, peacefully passed away at home with family on July 10th, 2021. Gerald was born in Sale Creek, TN on December 25th, 1949 to Emmett Burson Conn (Father) and Lorna Evelyn Fransisco (Mother). Gerald attended Sale Creek High School, and he graduated with the class of 1969. He served in the U.S. Army. His accomplishments were medals awarded for National Defense Service, a Sharpshooter, and Good Conduct. He was honorably discharged on September 1st, 1975. He retired from Plumbers and SteamFitters Local 43. He was an active member for Homeland Security and he served with Homeland Security with pride. Gerald and his family were members of Lewis Chapel Church of God. He loved participating in church activities and was an active member in his community. Gerald loved cooking and loved to smoke food for his friends and family. To know Gerald Conn was to love Gerald Conn. Gerald is survived by the love of his life for 38 years, his wife Vickie Conn and his only son Joshua Conn. He is also survived by brothers C.H. Miles (Lee Ann), Tony Miles (Kat), sisters-in-law Brenda Davis, Kathy Patton, Christy Everett (Brent), Rick Davis (Becky) and several nieces and nephews. There will be no services per Gerald’s request. Gerald’s family would like to give a special thanks to all those who have shown love and support during this difficult time, and thank you to Pastor Jeff Smith and his wife. A special thank you for the exceptional medical care from Hearth Hospice (Renee Argo), Dr. Hak Seo, Dr. David Daniels, and Dr. John Fortney. Gerald was a special man, and he will be greatly missed to all who knew him.
