Emily Hardison Childress

Emily Hardison Childress passed away January 4, 2021 at 1:30pm. A native of Lawrenceburg, TN She moved to Cleveland, TN in 1968. She was employed by Cleveland Bank and Trust and the Cleveland City School System. She was an active Member of Broad Street United Methodist Church and the Rogers Sunday School Class. She was also very active in the BSUMC Congregational Care Committee and Unity Center for 25+ years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Adrienne Hardison, son Jeffery Mark Childress, siblings Roy Hardison Jr. and Laverne Young.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Richard Childress, daughter and husband Melanie and Mitchell Wickman and grandchildren: Tyler Wickman and Taylor Wickman and great grandson Nolan Wickman. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
A private service will be held for the family on Sunday January 10, 2021 at 4:00pm. You can view the service via livestream at www.companionfunerals.com. Emily will be laid to rest at Lawrenceburg Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
