Edward Hayes Suits, Sr.

Edward Hayes Suits, Sr., 83, of Cleveland passed away July 2, 2019. He was born in Apison, TN to the late Homer Edward and Mary Ruth Suits. Edward loved to travel, fish, and spend time with family. He loved woodworking and enjoyed seeing the final product he created. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. Edward was also a charter member of the Conerstone Church of God.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his brothers Odell Suits and William “Bill” Suits; and two sisters, Lorena Bess and Louise Whaley.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife of 42 years, Dorothy Suits; children, Gary Suits (Babylene), Brian Suits (Kelli), Edward Suits, Jr., Paula Malone (Randall), Cindy Jones (Lonnie) Gloria Suits, Pamela Hooper, and Joe Ramsey (Susan); sisters: Wanda Woodham, Sammie Stephens (Leroy) and Peggy Simms (Rick); 24 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. In addition to these, Edward leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 7:00pm on Friday, July 5, 2019 at Cornerstone Church of God, 2823 S Lee Hwy, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will be held at the church at 7:00pm with military honors rendered by the United States Air Force.
