Edward Dwight "Eddie" Miller

August 16, 1946 — April 9, 2017

Edward Dwight "Eddie" Miller 70, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN went to his Heavenly Home on Sunday night, April 9th, 2017 from a Chattanooga hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on August 16th, 1946 in Cohutta, GA a son of the late Mark & Anna Lee Miller. Eddie was a member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. He was a hard worker who enjoyed working on cars, mowing and was a antique car enthusiast. Eddie and Doc German ran Rebel Motors on Spring Place Road for many years. After retirement from Duracell Corporation, Eddie ran an office cleaning business for 18 plus years.

In addition to his parents, Eddie is preceded in death by one grandson Andy Miller, step son Rick Link; son-in-law Joe Moats; two sisters Beatrice Watson and Eyvonne Casson and one brother Clinton R. Miller.

Eddie leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 26 years Elaine Lloyd Miller; one daughter Sonya Moats; two sons Steven Miller and Scot Miller, one step son Chris Link; two sisters Hazel Hindman and Alma Reagan of Cohutta, GA, one brother David Miller (Gayla); six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Wednesday night, April 12th, 2017 at 7:00 PM at the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church located at 2412 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Gary Moats officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday evening from 4:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time.

The interment and committal service will take place on Thursday morning, April 13th, 2017 at 10:00 PM in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Cohutta, GA with the Reverend John Tooter officiating. Mark Miller, Chandler Miller, Colton Reeder, Cody Miller, Robbie Hindman, Roger Hindman, Roger Miller and Larry Casson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will Danny Reagan and Gary Williams. The funeral procession will leave Clingan Ridge Baptist Church at 9:00 AM on Thursday morning.
