Edward Coleman Dunnavant

Mr. Edward C. Dunnavant, age 90, of Cleveland, TN. passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Dunnavant is survived by his wife Dixie Anita: sons, Mark: Terry and wife Marcy: Jeff and wife Anita: daughter, Lisa Hughes and husband Tom: daughter-in-law Kelly: 6 grandchildren, Amber, Joshua and wife Shea, Antony, Jacob, Trina and Tiffany: 9 great-grandchildren: sister, Carol Vidra and husband Steve: nephews, Tim and wife Mary: Michael and wife Becky: numerous great nieces and great nephews: special neighbors Roy and Elaine Cross, Jeri and Larry Dockery, Rosemary Green and Jeanette Cagle. A very special “Thank You” to the nurses and aides from Hearth Hospice. You were so kind and caring.

Mr. Dunnavant was born on December 11, 1931 in Richmond, VA. to the late Herbert & Lois Dunnavant. He attended Westmore Church of God. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean War. He retired from the Maintenance Departments at Waterville Golf Coarse and Church of God International Offices.

He was a generous man who enjoyed helping others. He loved wood working , mechanics and outside gardening with his flowers and vegetables. He liked watching the Atlanta Braves, Tennessee Titans and fishing.

There will be a graveside service in Chattanooga at the National Veterans Cemetery with Reverend Eugene McCarley officiating the service.
