Edith Marlette Atchley

Marlette Atchley, 74, passed away December 12, 2015. She was born January 6, 1941 to the late Norman Mohn Sr. and Dorothy Honeycutt Mohn. Marlette affectionately known by her grandchildren as Nanny, was a long time choir member at Westwood Baptist Church and an active member at the Senior Center. She enjoyed making crafts, singing, dancing, gardening and animals.

Along with her parents, Marlette is preceded in death by her late husband, James Bud Atchley.

Marlette is survived by her husband, Shelbon Joe Plunk; three sons, Norman (Kaye) McGuffey, Stephen (Shannon) McGuffey and Matthew (Zandra) McGuffey; one daughter, Cherie (Tim) Kuhns; three brothers, Norman (Corky) Mohn Jr., Terry (Sheryl) Mohn and Paul Mohn; two sisters, Jo Ann (Glenn) Taylor and Sue Ward; and nineteen grandchildren.

Memorial Visitation will be held at Companion Funeral home in Cleveland, TN Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 4:30pm until 6:30pm.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or Jews for Jesus organization.
