Eddie Lee Hayes Sr.

Eddie Lee Hayes Sr., 70, a resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Saturday April 1, 2017. He was born on September 13, 1946 to the late Charlie Houston Hayes and Lora Hayes. He worked for many years at Burlington & Perma Color in Cleveland and 28 years at Chem Tech in Dalton, where he retired as a supervisor. He was saved shortly prior to his death, which was a great comfort to his wife of almost 50 years and to his three children, which were his whole life.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Gene, Dewey, Sam, Richard, Hayward, and Harold Hayes; and sisters, Mary Lou Goins, Rose Buckner, and Lona Stoker.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Caywood Hayes; daughter, LeAnn Michelle Hayes; sons, Eddie Lee Hayes II and Rodney Houston Hayes; daughters-in-law, Annette Hayes and Erika Hayes; grandson, his pride and joy, Rodney Houston Hayes Jr.; sister, Barbara (Ronnie) Raburn; a very special buddy Marty, his cat, as well extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Mountain View Church of God, located at 210 Roadway Drive SE.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 2:00pm, with Rev. Joey Whittenbarger, Rev. Fred Mercer, and Rev. Margie Poteat officiating the service.
Interment will follow the service in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, on Old Chattanooga Pike. Ron Raburn, Matt Parker, Tony Holmes, Mark Markham, Jody Acree and Brad Hampton will be serving as pallbearers.
