It is with deepest sorrow and broken hearts we announce the passing of Douglas Michael Veazey, 33, of Knoxville Tennessee on November 4th, 2020 of natural causes, Michael leaves behind his loving parents, Douglas and Rachel Veazey, Brother Benjamin Veazey, Grandmother Phyllis Veazey, Grandfather Gary McAmis. He also leaves behind his Uncle Gary and Aunt Kathy Veazey, Uncle David McAmis, Aunt Jo Middleton, Uncle Stephen McAmis, Aunt Leslie McAmis, Uncle Tom Parrish and Aunt Cathy Parrish, and very special cousins Martin Veazey, Katherine Veazey, Kyle McAmis, Frank McAmis, Marissa McAmis, Logan McAmis, Mary McAmis and cousin Emily Taylor, as well as many other family and friends. He is proceeded in death by his Grandmother Joyce McAmis, Grandfather Gene Veazey, and his Aunt Denise Veazey. He was loved beyond measure and will be missed by many. He always brought a smile to our face. He could talk to anyone and make them feel important, and had a fantastic sense of humor and kept us all laughing. Michael was a very bight young man, and he could fix anything, especially computers.

Michael was born May 3,1987 in Cleveland Tennessee, he baptized January 2000, and was a member of First Baptist Church. Michael continued his walk with the Lord at Impact Ministries in Knoxville Tennessee.

Michael graduated from Cleveland High School in 2006, he continued his education at Lee University graduating in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Religion. He started his career as an intern at Life Care in the IT department before starting his career with TVA 2013. Michal was currently a Network/Telecommunication Engineer at TVA in Knoxville, he was skilled in VoIP Systems, in Avaya, and Cisco networking, he held various certifications. He enjoyed what he did and working with his friend and colleagues at TVA.

He loved the beach, and loved our family vacations to Destin Florida. Michael enjoyed the Ocoee, and playing golf with friends and colleagues using his Papa Gene’s golf clubs.
