Dorothy Louise (Barnhart) Wipperman
08/16/1931 – 07/17/2020
Dorothy loved her family! As a daughter, wife, Mother, and Grandmother, she dedicated her life to loving us all gently and unconditionally as she cared for us through her life. She always loved panning and preparing celebration of life events, holidays, birthdays, and theme parties. Staying busy and always doing whatever was needed to maintain a peaceful, immaculate home wherever she would be.
Dorothy was a swimmer in her younger years. As a YWCA member and camp counselor, she taught swimming and life guarded. During college she became a synchronized swimmer and was a paid performer at the Drake Hotel in Chicago. She always loved swimming and sunbathing on the shores of Lake Michigan for over 60 years.
Dorothy loved to travel and had seen many countries and US states in her lifetime. From tent camping to cruise ships to resorts, she enjoyed all activities that came with those experiences.
Throughout her life she was a bookkeeper extraordinaire and impressed many with her skills. She and her husband, Harvey, retired to Crossville, TN to enjoy being closer to the her grandkids while boating, swimming, and sunbathing on Lake Tansi.
She will be remembered especially for her overall sweetness, compassion, and heart warming generosity.
Her Husband of 56 years, Harvey J. Wipperman, and her parents Percy (Barney) Barnhart and Evelyn L. (Schumacher) Barnhart preceded her in death.
