Dorothy Jeanette Malone Bunch

Dorothy Jeanette Malone Bunch, 75, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 9, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Laurens, South Carolina on August 4, 1947, a daughter of the late Curtis & Junie Malone. She was a member of the Cornerstone Church of God. Dorothy married the love of her life David on July 6, 1963. They traveled and lived all over the world throughout her husband’s military career. They retired to Cleveland, TN in June of 1981. Dorothy was a loving, caring wife, mother and nan to her family. Her free spirited and fun-loving nature made her one of a kind. Her love language was through cooking and preparing meals for her family and friends. Dorothy was deeply loved by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death her daughter Jamie, two granddaughters Tabetha & Donna Marie and nine siblings.

Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 60 years David Bunch, her four children Donna Bunch, Curtis Bunch (Sheila), Mary Bunch and Tomie Bunch (Andy), one sister Joy Riddlehuber (Mark), 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, special niece Donna Searels (Cary), numerous other nieces, nephews, other extended family members and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening, March 13, 2023 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the Cleveland chapel of Companion Funeral Home.

A service celebrating her life is planned for Tuesday morning, March 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Don Blessing officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnston Cemetery with Thomas Bunch, David Bunch, Dustin Bunch, Cary Searels, Chad Taylor, Chris Whitlock, Tiftin Whitlock and Wyatt Searels serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
