Doris Jeannette Wilcoxon

Doris Jeannette Wilcoxon, 77, of Old Fort went home to be with the Lord May 15, 2019. She was born in Lakewood, Florida and enjoyed flower gardening. She was the daughter of the late Amon and Julia Dean She retired from Hardwick Clothes and was a member of Ballplay Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband , Thomas “Teber” Wilcoxon; a great-granddaughter, Addison McKnight; a sister, Margaret McCullers; and a brother, Martin Dean.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Wilcoxon McKnight of Old Fort; sons, Tim Wilcoxon (Karen) of Old Fort and Wayne Wilcoxon (Brenda) of Georgetown; granddaughters, Britney Silvers (Luke), Alecia Rollins (Billy) and Summer Webb (Brandon); grandsons, Dustin McKnight (Jackie) and Robbie Wilcoxon (Victoria); great grandchildren, Kaleigh, Kyler, Layla, Aiden, Hannah, Parker, Peyton, Daniel, Ian, Bradyn and Coleman; Sister, Liz Arnold; brothers, Frank Dean (Jessie), Horace Dean (Ruth), and Bobby Dean (Kathy) all of Vero Beach, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 5pm to 8pm at Ballplay Baptist Church. A celebration of life will be at Ballplay Baptist Church on Sunday May 19, 2019 at 3pm with Rev Matthew Harris and Rev. Daniel White officiating with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Ballplay Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dustin McKnight, Kyler Higdon, Robbie Wilcoxon, Daniel Wilcoxon, Billy Rollins, and Luke Silvers.
