Donald Smith

Donald Smith, 71, of Seymour, TN passed away on March 5, 2023. He was born in Cleveland, TN on November 3, 1951. Donald was a devoted man of God and he enjoyed attending church. He had a true servants heart and loved helping anyone in need.

He is preceded in death by his father L.A. Smith; wife Shirley Smith; four brothers: Roger Smith, Calvin Smith, Steve Smith, and L.A. Smith Jr and one grandson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Carolyn Smith; mother and father Eva and Carol “Red” Smith; siblings: Gary Smith, Judy Carter (Allen), and Tammy Browder (Mike); stepchildren: Tammy McCollum, Sheila Deandra, Bobby Lethco, and Elizabth Phillips; thirteen step grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren. In addition to these he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and his two fur babies Lexi and Rowdy.

Donald’s family will receive friends from 10am until 1pm on Friday March 10th at the Athens Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1pm. He will be laid to rest at Dripping Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Seymour, TN following the service. Pastor Jason Ollis will be officiating.
