Donald Mickey Zodun

Obituary
Donald Mickey Zodun, 63, of Charleston, TN passed away on February 12, 2015 in a Chattanooga Hospital. He was born on July 18, 1951 to the late Metro and Helen Zodun. He was a resident of the Charleston, TN area for 20 years, moving here from Cordele, GA. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Fairview Primitive Baptist Church. He received his Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Southern Mississippi and his Masters degree in Criminal Justice from the same university. He retired from the US Army as a Major in rank. He also graduated from Command and General Staff College with honors. He served as Assistant Professor of Military Science at the University of Southern Mississippi, Assistant Professor of Military Science at The Citadel in Charleston, SC, and Senior Army Instructor (JROTC), at Crisp County High School in Cordele, GA.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Deborah Zodun, two stepsons John and Ben Cook; stepdaughter Sarah Howell; two sisters: JoAnn Dubus and Donna Ward (Charles); two grandchildren: Parker and Ariel Peacock.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday February 17, 2015 at Chattanooga National Cemetery located at 1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404 with Elder Greg Phillips officiating.
