Devenar Jean "Daphine" Wallin

Devenar Jean “Daphine” Wallin, 90, of Soddy Daisy, TN passed away on December 11, 2021. She was born on March 18, 1931 to the late Owen and Clara Brackett. Daphine was a faithful member of Daisy Church of Christ and a devoted Woman of God. She loved gardening with her flowers, knitting, shopping-especially for shoes, and her beloved cat, “Cotton Tail.” She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Wallin and brother Bill Painter.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons Ronnie Thompson and Ray Thompson (Charlene); daughter Evelyn Henry; loving granddaughter Jessica West (Kenny) and numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Willow Acres Assisted Living as well as Tim and Sherry Wright for their devoted care to Daphine during this time.

Her family will receive friends from 10am until 12pm on Wednesday December 15, 2021 at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. A celebration of Daphine’s life will be held at 12pm with burial to follow in Hamilton Memorial Park in Soddy Daisy, TN.

Ken West, Tim Wright, Sach West, Tucker Harrod, Kyle West, Jim West, and Travis Ezell will serve as pallbearers.
