Derk Henry Dewayne Burton

Derk Henry Dewayne Burton, 36, of Englewood, Tennessee, passed away March 2, 2022. He was born on February 14, 1986.

He was a good-hearted person that loved with all his heart. He loved to be outdoors: hunting, fishing, four wheeling in the mud, or just spending time with his dad at the garage. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Carlos Burton, Henry and Mary Nell Cline, Larry Bledsoe, Jean Bledsoe, Reverend A.M. and Florence Bledsoe, and Ann Ciminella.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents: Greg (Joan) Burton, Carol Bledsoe; his siblings: Craig (Tiffany) Burton, Jessica Moses (Erick Aciego), and Anthony Burton (Dixie Bennett); His grandparents: Virginia Burton, Bobbie Bledsoe, Larry and Dolores Langford; aunts: Cheryl (Tracy) Wilson, Lucille (Greg) Dudley, Cheryl (Eddie) Curtis, Elaine Bledsoe Hayward, Beth (Scott) Godfrey, Tonia (Alan) Norwood; uncles: Darrell (Dianna) Burton, Duane Langford, David (Robin) Langford, Larry Bledsoe; Daughter: Kaylee Divine Patel; Stepchildren: Serenity Holt and Cayden Holt. Nephew and nieces: Conner Burton, Victoria Burton, and Brylie Burton; several cousins: Michele Curtis (Danny Roberts), Brian Curtis, Ethan (Lauren) Curtis, Nathan Langford, Morgan Langford, Brandon Underwood, Ashley (Matthew) Thurman, Shelby (Jack) Rymer, Caleb (Missy) Godfrey, Collin Godfrey, Taylor Bledsoe, Allie Bledsoe, Randall Bledsoe, Steffanie Norwood and Cody Clark.

Derk also leaves behind a special friend and love, Angela Knox.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 1:00pm at Companion Funeral Home of Athens. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am -1:00 pm prior to the service.

A Graveside service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 11:00 am at McMinn Memory Gardens in Athens, Tennessee.
