Delmas Edward Choate, 68, longtime resident of Dalton, Ga, passed away peacefully on June, 28 surrounded by family and friends. Edward was a sports enthusiast, he loved watching his Tennessee Volunteers as well as Dale Earnhardt race around the track. Edward also loved to hike outside with his children.
He is preceded in death by his father William “Doc” Choate, and his brother Steve and wife Debbie Choate.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Juanita Choate; mother Evelyn Choate; two sons Tommy Cleary(Andra), and Mark Choate; daughter Lisa Shadrix(Mike); two sisters Ann Newton(Donald), Billie Craig(Eddie); loving nephew Jarrett Choate(Michelle); along with 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The Choate family will be receiving family and friends on Sunday, July 1st, from 3pm to 5pm with a service at 5pm located at Companion Funeral Home (Cleveland Chapel).
