David "Red" Brown

September 28, 1942 — May 8, 2017

David W. “Red” Brown Sr., 74, a resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on May 8, 2017 at his home with his wife by his side. David was retired from EPB of Chattanooga. He loved to hunt, fish, and go camping. He was a member of the Highland Sportsman Club & past member of the Chattanooga Trout Association, Volunteer State Water Rescue, and Hwy 58 Volunteer Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his mother & stepfather, Margaret & Lawrence Scealf; father, Wesley Brown; brothers, Steve and Charles Scealf; and sister, Donna Dotson.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sherrie Holland Brown; daughters, Tammy (Randy) Gribble and Vickie (Rich) Towery; son, David (Tracy) Brown Jr.; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lynne (Billy) Allison, Connie Dotson, and Sandy Salmeron; brothers, Larry (Judy) Scealf, and Aaron (Karen) Scealf; and stepmother, Jeane Salmeron, of Dallas, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
