David Allan Byrd

David Allan Byrd 59, of Athens, TN passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021. He was a Veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division. David was also a dedicated member of Eastanallee Baptist Church as well as a soccer coach and referee of the AYSO Soccer Region 612.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Jean Tinsley; special friends, Beth Renee Tungate and Dylan Robertson.
He is survived by his father, William Byrd; his siblings, Sonya Robertson (Randall), Shelley Gibson-Townsel and Charles Milligan; his granddaughters, Alexis Torres (Omar) and JayDen Tuell, ShiAnn Tuell; his great grandchildren, Kyler Miley and Sebastian Torres; his nieces and nephews, Robert Dean, Tommy Dean, , Harley Robertson, Phillip Townsel Jr., Ashley Townsel, Cynthia Haight, Angela Milligan, and Tabatha Milligan; extended family members, Misty Carlisle, Samuel Carlisle; along with great nieces, nephews, cousins, and uncles. His also leaves behind many friends and many animal companions.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Eastanallee Baptist Church in Riceville, TN at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service at McMinn Memory Gardens in Athens, TN is to follow, with Tom Marvin, Omar Torres, Tommy Dean, Philip Townsel, Margarito Torres, and Jayden Tuell serving as pallbearers.
