Darris Rondel Morton

Darris Morton ,53, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on October 16, 2020 at his residence. Formerly of Chattanooga, TN, Darris was a member Silverdale Baptist Church and loved sharing his faith with others. He loved fishing, hunting, golf and camping.

Preceded in death by his father, James W. Morton; brother, Daniel W. Morton; grandparents, R.S. (Martha) McLemore and Carl (Eva) E. Morton.

Survived by his mother, Harriet Morton; fiancé, Kimberly E. Weldon; siblings, Denise (Michael) Pierce; sister-in-law, Kristy Morton; nieces, Amber (John) Dye, Audra (Daniel) Benson, Ali (Arthel) Clark and Kelsey (Jared) Fox; nephew, Colton Morton; and a host of great nieces and nephews.


Visitation will be held at Companion Funeral Home-Athens location, 410 S. White Street on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 10:00 AM-12 Noon and the service will follow at 12 Noon in the chapel with Pastor Collin Cooke officiating. A graveside service will be held at Stock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Knoxville, TN at 3:00 PM.
