Obituary

Darrell Gene Ritchie, 66, passed away Friday August 1, 2014 at Sweetwater Hospital . He was a long time resident of both Sweetwater TN and West Palm Beach Florida. He was a well known salesman for Newmans Mobile Homes and Price is Right Rv. He enjoyed fishing, Nascar, and was a big UT fan. He is proceeded in death by his parents Mearl H Ritchie and Hazel M Moser Ritchie both of Athens and brother and sister in law Cecil H Ritchie and Linda Ritchie both of Sweetwater TN.

Survivors include daughter Lanie Esposito and son in law Dan Esposito of Charlotte NC and daughter Cyndi Hitson of Sweetwater Tn one sister and caregiver Jodie Ritchie of Niota Tn three grand children Nicholas Esposito, Daniel Esposito and Gabrielle Esposito all of Charlotte NC and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Thursday August 7 at Restoration Church from 5 - 8 with funeral at 8 with Rev Jerry Plaster officiating. Graveside services will be at Big Creek cemetery on Friday at 2 pm. The family would like to thank all of the staff and nurses in the ICU and third floor at Sweetwater Hospital. A special thanks to Dr Thomas Evans and his nurse Denise.
