Danny Joe Dalton

Danny Joe Dalton, 74, of Etowah, TN passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday June 7, 2020. He was born in Etowah to the late Mattie “Lee” Dills & Charles Harley Dalton. Joe was a member of the First Christian Church of Etowah. He was a well-known founding member of the Starr Mountain Street Rodders and enjoyed working on old cars.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Louise Relford Dalton, one son and daughter-in-law Tim & Michele Dalton, one daughter Louisa Suggs, two sisters Charlotte Rouse and her husband Louis and Martha Ingram and her husband Jim, nine grandchildren Katie Rymer, Abby Dalton, Colby Dalton, Luke Dalton, Madison McKeehan, Cody Cline, Bailey Cline, Logan Cline, Maddie Cline and Makinley Wallace, two great grandchildren Heath & Charlie Rose Rymer, several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, June 12, 2020 at 6:00 PM at the First Christian Church in Etowah, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask for memorial to be made to Companion Funeral Home in Athens to help cover funeral expenses.
