Danna "Darlene" Hicks

Danna “Darlene” Beaty Hicks, age 59, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at a local healthcare facility. A native and lifelong resident of Bradley County, she was of the Baptist faith. Darlene never met a stranger, her passion was helping others in need. She was instrumental in organizing Project Helping Hands in this area and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Melvin Beaty; maternal grandparents, Spence and Edna Coe; and paternal grandparents, Horace and Mary Beaty.
Darlene is survived by her husband of 16 years, Terry Hicks of Cleveland; mother Jean Beaty Quinn of Dalton; son Bradley Dover and wife Kayla of Cleveland; granddaughter, Elina Dover; siblings, Mark Beaty of Cleveland, Cathy Maney of Cleveland, Randy Beaty of Cleveland, Brian Beaty of Cleveland, Cindy Goode of Cleveland, and Sandy Hole of Old Fort. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Darlene Hicks will be held at 11:00am on Thursday October 6, 2016 at Companion Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday October 5, 2016 from 6:30pm until 9:30pm and on Thursday from 10:00am until the service time. Interment will follow the service at Lebanon Cemetery with Wayne Burgess, Clay Burgess, Kevin Burgess, Daniel Beaty, Scott Yates, Jonathan Townsend, and David Goode serving as pallbearers.
