Danah L. Smith Hindman

October 30, 1935 — February 16, 2021

Danah L. Smith Hindman, 85, passed away on February 16, 2021. She was born October 30, 1935. Danah was a resident of Bradley County her entire life. She was a preschool teacher at First Baptist from 1975-1989. She enjoyed a country lifestyle and was a member of the Mouse Creek Home Demonstration Club, as well as serving on the Agriculture Committee for Bradley County for several years. She was a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church, where she served as a Preschool Director and a teacher in the children’s program. She also worked in the Senior Adult Ministry and served on other committees within the church. She was a mom, as well as a grandmama to many. The door to Danah’s home was always open to family and friends. If you weren’t a friend already, you would soon become one after entering. She was a wonderful cook and would never let you leave hungry. She enjoyed her flowers, reading and puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed her quiet time, reading her Bible and studying her Sunday School lesson. Danah was a mentor to many both young and old.
Danah was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Donald Hindman, her parents, Carl and Nova Smith, granddaughter, Brentnee, and nephew, Danny Crumbley.
