D H Webb

DH "Papaw" Webb, age 85, life-long resident of Townsend TN, passed away on Saturday August 13, 2022, at Asbury Place in Maryville TN.

A Blount County native, he was born on January 31, 1937, to the late Ross and Mary Webb. DH retired from Levi Strauss & Co after thirty-one dedicated years. After his retirement, he spent his day’s enjoying what he called his piece of heaven on earth, his creekfront porch on Webb Road in Townsend TN. He would wave at everyone that passed by. DH also enjoyed bear, deer hunting and in his driving days going through Cades Cove telling stories of his younger years. All as he would be driving his his family or friends in that great Big old Oldsmobile counting the dear and watching for bears. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and grandchildren, and all who enjoyed his company.

Survivors include children Ronny (Mary) Webb, Donnie Webb, and Stacy Webb; grandchildren, Rodney Webb, Jessica (Alex) Alfonso, David (Misty) Webb, Dillon Webb, and Ashley Cates; great-grandchildren Ava Alfonso, Lea Alfonso, Jacob Webb, Dixie Webb, and Jaxon and Izabella Capps; and (daughter-in-law), special friend Kathy Webb.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant grandson, Conner Webb.

The family will celebrate DH’s life privately; no public services will be held. They ask that you remember a fond memory of DH and pour yourself a 1/3 of a coffee cup with orange soda “Dope” and unscrew the lid of a mason jar in his honor! As always, his last words "that's a 10-4.”
