Colton Gage Malone

December 4, 1996 — August 7, 2017

Colton Gage Malone, 20, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away after a long illness on Monday, August 7, 2017. Colton truly appreciated the beautiful creation God made for him. More than anything, he loved to hunt and fish. When he needed to, he would go fish and talk to his Heavenly Father. To those who knew him he was the “Fly Fisherman-King of the South”. It was a beautiful thing just to watch him. From a small age, he loved every critter. He would catch snakes, lizards, or any bug that came his way. Colton enjoyed being with family in all that he did; fishing with Papaw Jimmy or hunting and fishing with his dad, Ryan. Colton had a big heart and gave his love unconditionally. He made it known that no one could cook oatmeal like Papaw Carl. He loved to harass his Aunt Holly because he knew she loved it. His Nana Patsy and Nana Gloria always made sure he had lots of good food to eat. He loved deeply and lived life to the fullest. He fought the good fight of faith and finished his course. He was surrounded by love, prayer, and worship by those he loved and he went home so very peacefully. He will be deeply missed, but he will never be separated from his loved ones, as he will always live in their hearts.
Those left behind to cherish his many wonderful memories are his mother, Theresa Wooten and her fiancé, Dustin Chastain, his father, Ryan Malone; the love of his life, Peytin Delk; grandparents, James and Patsy Wooten, Carl and Gloria Malone; aunts and uncles, Michael and Holly Harris, Randall and Paula Malone; cousins, Gavin Harris, Olivia Harris, Kodi and Hailey Malone, Kylee Malone, Noah Malone, Stephen Tice; his dog, Rocky, and numerous family and friends.
Special appreciation to Linda Odom who was his nurse when he was born, his intercessor during his long fight, and was there to pray him into his eternal home.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 10, at 3:00-6:00 pm at Heritage Fellowship Church of God, 4536 South Lee Hwy., McDonald, TN. The celebration of life service will begin at 6:30 pm.
