Clyde Darnell

Obituary
Clyde C. Darnell, age 82, passed away Wednesday August 26, 2015 at Standifer Place in Chattanooga, TN. He was born July 23, 1933 to the late James and Harriet Darnell. He was a lifelong resident of Polk County, TN and attended Ball Play Baptist Church in Old Fort, TN. Mr. Darnell was skilled with working with his hands, loved working with anything mechanical, and he enjoyed blue grass music.

Along with his parents, Clyde is preceded in death by his daughter Myra Regina Darnell and his brothers and sisters.

Clyde is survived by his loving wife of 19 years Betty Jean Darnell, two sons; Mark Darnell (Dana) of Cleveland and Jonathan Darnell (Michele) of Ocoee, three grandchildren; Hayden, Jonah and Jake Darnell.

Visitation will be held at Ball Play Baptist Church in Old Fort, TN Friday August 28, 2015 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and will resume on Saturday August 29, 2015 from 10:00am until service time at 11:00am. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Matthew Harris and Rev. David Moore. Interment will follow in Greasy Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Mac Wilcoxon, Michael Darnell, Silas Stewart, Scott Loftis, Gene Young, and Donald (P-Nut) Wilson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Brenda and Scott Loftis, Hospice of Chattanooga and the Ball Play Baptist Church family.
