Clint Odell Cross

Clint Odell Cross, 88, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019. He was born to the late Lillie Mae Lewis Cross and Wallace McKinley Cross on October 26, 1930. He grew up working on the family farm in Bradley County, he then moved to Chicago to build locomotives, after which he moved to Alabama and worked on the Coal Mines before returning to Bradley County. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shelby Cross; sons, Jerry Taylor and Gary Taylor; sisters, Zula Mae Powell and Linda Witt; brothers, Edward Cross, Junior Cross, and Bill Cross.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Lobetha T. Stinnett Cross, daughters, Pam Cross (Babs Gates) Christy (Mike) Hale, and Linda Stinnett Young; sons, David Taylor, Glen (Kelly) Cross, Leonard (Shelia) Stinnett Young; grandchildren, Seth (Kayla) Cross, Sara (Steve) Mofield, Tyler Pilkerton, Shelby Hale, Craig (Ginger) Stinnett, Silas Stinnett, Kandy Geren, and Jim (Nina) Young; great grandchildren, Millie Jo Cross, Larkin Shea Mofield, Harper Grace Pilkerton, Khloe Lynn Pilkerton, Brian Easterly, Bethany Easterly, Hunter Stinnett, Kayley Young, Jase Young, and Tatum Pilkerton; great great grandchildren, Mya and Anakin; sister, Eunice Ogle; brothers, Tom Cross, and Larry Cross; sisters-in-law, Margie Cross, Wanda Cross, and Mary Cross, along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family would also like to send a heartfelt thank you to Kandy Geren and Caris Hospice for Going above and beyond in the final months.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Companion Funeral Home: Cleveland Chapel from 11-2pm with a celebration of life service at 2pm. There will also be a Visitation and Service on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Patterson Funeral Home/Forest Grove Cemetery from 11-1pm with a service at 1pm. burial will follow in the Forest Grove cemetery following the service.
