Claude "Topper" White

Claude “Topper” White age 73 of Madisonville went to his heavenly home on Friday, January 28, 2022. Mr. White was a long-time resident of Monroe County. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, he retired from Plant Operations at Sweetwater Hospital and he loved playing golf.

He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Mae White, his wife, Mary Ruth White, 9 brothers and sisters, Naomi Rose “June” Rue, Oneida Malone, Florence Cannon, Earl “Buck” White, William “Bill” White, Lily “Tinker” Rogers, Jim White, Jack White and Clyde White.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Jessica Leigh Clark and Stephanie Allison Nichols of Madisonville. 7 grandchildren, Anthony, Andrew, Erica Umphrey of Chattanooga, Donta Clark of Calhoun and Dalles, Bryson and Peyton Nichols of Chattanooga. 3 great-grandchildren, Arielle, Remy and Kobe Boswell of Chattanooga. Stepchildren, Vince and Shauna Fritts from Madisonville, Johnny and Angela Fritts of Paint Rock, Gordon and Christine Fritts of Madisonville, Darrell Fritts of Riceville and Danielle and Scott Watson of Madisonville. 16 step grandchildren and 13 great-stepchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Jessica Clark for final expenses.

The family will be posting on Facebook a celebration of life at a later date to be held at Mr. White’s home.
