Claude Buchanan Holmes

Claude Buchanan Holmes, 96, of Cleveland, TN passed away on May 1, 2018. He was born on May 12, 1921 to the late Sam and Agnis Holmes. Claude was a lifelong resident of this area. He loved his horses and his dogs. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and spent most of his life as a car dealer, then retiring and going to work for his son driving a wrecker.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his wife Sandra Holmes and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his children: Vicky Carroll, Stephanie Holmes, Bucky Holmes, and Jennifer Holmes; grandchildren: Ned, Brandy, Jon, Katie, Justin, and Beth; several great grandchildren: and one great great grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Thursday May 3, 2018 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
