Clara Elizabeth Coyle

Clara Elizabeth Coyle, 74, a resident of Athens, TN passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at her home. She was born on July 27, 1945 in Sheffield, AL a daughter of the late Leo & Carrie Smith.
She is also preceded in death by her husband Norbert Clay Coyle and four brothers Billy Smith, Joel “Buddy” Smith, Calvin Smith and Jimmy Smith.
Clare is survived by one son John Kirkland (Lorene), three daughters Norma Hutcheson, Rose Lincoln and Edith Downing all of Athens, three sisters Carolyn Shumate, Wanda Caudill and Darlene Buschner, fifteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN. A funeral service will conclude the visitation at 3:00 on Tuesday with the Reverenced Joseph A. Kemper officiating.
