Cheryl Lynn Hatmaker

September 25, 1958 — November 7, 2021

Cheryl Lynn Hatmaker was born in Gadsden Alabama on the 25th day of September 1958 to Charles Bellamy (retired army) and Nola (Nelson) (Bellamy) Curry. They lived the army life until she graduated high-school and joined the army herself as an intelligence officer. She met and married Doyle Boston while in Augsburg Germany and had a daughter (Mary Jessica (Boston) Kennedy) on Nov 01, 1978. She was honorably discharged 6 months after her daughter was born and returned to the states. Cheryl lived a nomadic life for many years after her return to the states but achieved a Masters in Business At the University of Alabama. In the 1980's Cheryl divorced Doyle Boston and married David Hatmaker in Tennessee in the 1990's. In 1998, Cheryl became the grandparent of Devin Kennedy and spoiled him rotten until the day she died. Cheryl and David both became ministers and loved the Lord. Cheryl wrote daily journals mostly to the Lord about her family and the love she had for them and the hopes she had for them. Cheryl achieved a Masters in Christian Drug Counseling with honors in her 60s and died on the 7th day of November 2021 at the age of 63. Cheryl did many things in life but in the end her family was her life, and she did so much for them, and she is so loved and missed by us all.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her father, Charles Bellamy; stepfather Dennis Curry; and Father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Edia Mae Hatmaker.

Cheryl leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, David Hatmaker; mother, Nola Curry; stepmother, Chong Bellamy; one daughter, Mary Jessica Kennedy (Robert); grandchild Devin Kennedy; siblings, Lane Bellamy (Janet), Donna Bellamy Byrge (Johnny), Chris Bellamy (Shannon), Diana Jaggears (Lamar); sibling-in-laws, Dawn and Bruce Guffey, Stacy Hatmaker, Baleria Hatmaker, Rachel and Brian Jenkins; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
