Charles Spencer Harris, 81, went to be with the Lord from his home in Ooltewah on December 19th. He was a retiree from TVA as an Aerial Photographer for the Mapping Division. He was even better known as a passionate Civil War historian and renowned author of Civil War History. He is the proud son of the late Martin and Lou Harris. He is survived by his wife Teresa Harris, his brothers Martin Harris and Dr. Richard Harris, and his children, Stephanie Bell, Jenni Puckett and Jon Chadwick. He was a loving father to those 3 (plus 2 fur-babies), Grandfather of 11 and Great-Grandfather of 3.
His zeal for life was contagious. His dedication to meaningful friendships and life-long relationships was unparalleled. His commitment for artistic perfection via photography and wood-working was a sight to behold.
His cremation memorial service will be officiated by his son Jon Chadwick at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland, TN on Thursday, December 22nd from 11am-1pm. All are welcome.
In his infamous heartfelt words, he would express to each of you to Keep Your Powder Dry.”
