Charles Scott Large

Charles “Scott” Large, 64, of Hixson, Tennessee passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 14, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Charles E and Elizabeth M (Sonderggard) Large in Kerrville, Texas.

Scott loved watching his sports, in person or on tv, it didn’t matter. You’d always finding him cheering on the Tennessee Titans, Tennessee Volunteers and Houston Astros; but he’d watch any team. Scott enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling when his health allowed for it. He would gladly accept anything with a duck on it…his large hanging picture, figurines, blankets or even a stuffed animal. You would never dare to attempt to take his coffee away! Most of all, Scott loved spending time with his family.

Scott is survived by his three daughters, Stephanie Large, Cherie Bowles and her husband, Jeffrey, and Natasha Large and her husband, Luke; five grandchildren, Cameron D’Ovidio and his wife, Skylar, Matthew Bacan, Zachary Bacan, Austin Bowles and Christian Bowles; one great-granddaughter, Arielle D’Ovidio; 7 siblings, Karen Beckley and her husband Terry, Lawrence (Larry) Large, Cheryl Marrs, Debra (Debbie) McDaniel and her husband Randy, Mark Large and his wife Gayle, Dawn Mosser and her husband Rocky, and Jeffrey (Jeff) Large; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Erlanger Baroness Hospital MICU and Hospice of Chattanooga for all the care and comfort they provided.
