Charles Mac Finnell

Charles Mac Finnell, 82, of Cleveland, TN peacefully passed away at home on July 26, 2022, surrounded by his family and friends who loved him. He was born on June 1, 1940 in Cleveland, TN to the late Frank and Opal Finnell. Charlie worked for 35 years with the Colonial Baking Company and was known as “The Bread Man” to many during his time with Colonial. He was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Charlie was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing church league softball. He also loved traveling with his family. Charlie loved his family dearly and above all he was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him.

In addition his parents he is preceded in death by his mother and father in law Al and Ruby Rose; sister Jo Ann Hooper.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 61 years, Sally Rose Finnell; children: Beth Finnell (Rob McGowan), Alice Davidson (Jamie); brother: Frank Ray Finnell (Janice); grandchildren: Meredith Foster, Maddie Williams, and Olivia Davison. He is also survived by two nieces Cindy Finnell Hall and Debbie Hughes Carlton; nephew James Hughes. He also leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends.

A gathering of friends to celebrate Charlie will be held at a later date.
