Charles L. Knight

Charles L. Knight, 78, of Etowah, Tennessee passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 22, 2022 after a lengthy illness. Charles was born on October 2, 1944 in Jasper, Tennessee to the late John L. and Laura Mae Knight. He loved to fish, hunt, garden, going to car sales, and hanging out with his buddies. Charles worked 21 at CSX railroad, he also worked at Mills Products, and Thomas and Betts. His grandchildren were his whole world.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, J. Allen Knight; and his daughter, Tammy Knight.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 49 years, Deborah Knight; children, Michele (Kevin) Herndon, Cathy (David) Dixon, and Christy (Hubert) Alloway; his grandchildren, Hannah Alloway, Ethan Herndon, Alton Alloway, Samantha Dixon, and Kimber Alloway; sister, Fay (Louis) Graham; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and cherished friends.

There will be no services held at this time.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the Shriners Hospital of Lexington, Kentucky or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
